KUCHING: Maklumat tepat mengenai peranan Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) kini disediakan secara paparan digital dan risalah Baitulmal Information Kiosk (BIK) yang ditempatkan di Majma’ Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.
Kewujudan BIK adalah salah satu usaha berterusan TBS untuk memberi penerangan kepada masyarakat mengenai program bantuan TBS, jenis zakat, fidyah, kaedah pengiraan dan penerangan tentang wakaf.
Selain itu, perkhidmatan berkaitan Skim Zakat Pendapatan Melalui Potongan Gaji (ZPG) juga disediakan di BIK bagi memudahkan umat Islam menunaikan zakat pendapatan.
Bercakap ketika merasmikan BIK, Yang Dipertua Majlis Islam Sarawak (MIS) Datu Putit Matzen berkata, inisiatif itu adalah kesinambungan kepada penubuhan Zakat Information Centre (ZIC) di Satok Parade.
Beliau menjelaskan, penubuhan BIK juga merupakan usaha untuk mempelbagaikan kaedah penerangan sedia ada yang banyak bergantung kepada portal rasmi TBS, Facebook, penerbitan Buletin Al Mal, penulisan di akhbar dan buku serta siaran Baitulmal menerusi radio.
Sehubungan itu, Putit berharap masyarakat Islam memanfaatkan kemudahan itu untuk mendapatkan maklumat yang diperlukan.
“BIK menyediakan paparan informasi dan maklumat tepat yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat berhubung tanggungjawab serta amanah dilaksanakan TBS,” katanya di sini, semalam.
Menurutnya, BIK turut memaparkan aktiviti dan program yang dianjurkan TBS sepanjang tahun termasuk melibatkan pengagihan hasil kutipan zakat kepada asnaf.
“Semua maklumat yang disediakan di BIK adalah sahih dan boleh dijadikan sebagai sumber rujukan kepada umat Islam,” ujarnya.
Dalam pada itu beliau berkata, umat Islam patut memberi kerjasama dan sokongan penuh terhadap segala usaha murni yang dilaksanakan MIS.
“Usaha ini penting demi menegakkan maruah dan mengangkat martabat umat Islam dalam segenap aspek kehidupan termasuk sosioekonomi.
“Pendekatan drastik dan proaktif membangunkan umat Islam wajar diberi keutamaan,” jelasnya.
